The community of Reedsburg is deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Jennifer Elizabeth “Jen” McCluskey, age 38, of LaValle, WI. Jen passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center, leaving family, friends, and colleagues heartbroken by the loss of a woman whose warmth, dedication, and joyful spirit enriched every life she touched.
Born on April 21, 1987, in Reedsburg, Jen was the cherished daughter of Shane and Margaret “Maggie” (Brown) McCluskey. A 2005 graduate of Weston High School, she pursued further studies at UW–La Crosse and UW–Richland before establishing a successful and respected career. Jen served as the Branch Manager at WCCU in Reedsburg, where her leadership, professionalism, and kindness were admired by both coworkers and clients.
Deeply committed to her community, Jen volunteered generously and enthusiastically. She was active in the Reedsburg Chamber of Commerce, served as treasurer for Christmas in the Park, and dedicated time to the Reedsburg Area United Fund Radio Auction and the Sauk County Fair meat animal sale. Her willingness to give back reflected her belief in community, connection, and service.
Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Jen embraced a life filled with adventure and love. She enjoyed hiking, boating, and spending peaceful days outdoors—especially on the ridge at the McCluskey family farm, a place close to her heart. Above all, Jen’s greatest pride and joy in life were her beloved sons, Seth and Lochlan, who brought her endless happiness and purpose.
Jen is survived by her partner and soulmate, Matt Gavin; her parents, Shane and Maggie McCluskey; her sons, Seth and Lochlan Fry; her brother, Peter McCluskey; her loyal dog, Oakley; and many aunts, uncles, relatives, and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved dog, Brynn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Loreto, with Father Luke Syse officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Field Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, and again on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 AM at the church.
Jen’s radiant smile, generous heart, and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and joy—one that will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
May Jennifer Elizabeth McCluskey rest in eternal peace.
